Understanding Algorithms

Algorithms are fundamental in programming. They represent the series of steps that a program follows to achieve a specific task. Whether it’s sorting data, making decisions, or calculating values, an algorithm defines the logic behind every action in the program. The way these steps are sequenced and combined determines the outcome of the program, and this is crucial in programming. Algorithms can include loops, decisions, and conditions that repeat processes or handle different inputs. The ability to compare algorithms is important for understanding how different approaches can lead to the same result.
