A force is defined as an interaction between two objects that can cause a change in motion. It is a vector quantity represented by F{F} and measured in newtons (N).

1,N=1,kg⋅m/s2{1,\text{N} = 1,\text{kg·m/s}^2}

Forces can make an object start moving, stop moving, change direction, or alter its speed.
