Cell Cycle

Heritable information, encoded in DNA, is fundamental to the continuity of life. This genetic information is passed down through generations, ensuring the reproduction and survival of species. A crucial process that ensures this continuity is the cell cycle, which is involved in cell growth, reproduction, and the proper transmission of genetic information.

In eukaryotic cells, cell division is a highly regulated process that allows genetic material to be accurately transmitted to daughter cells. This is achieved through two major processes: the cell cycle and mitosis.
