Coulomb's Law

Coulomb’s Law describes the force between two charged particles.

F=kq1q2r2F = k\frac{q_1q_2}{r^2}
  • k{k} is Coulomb's constant, equal to (8.99×109N⋅m2/C2{8.99 × 10^9 N ⋅ m^2 /C^2})
  • q1{q_1} is the magnitude of charge of the first charge
  • q2{q_2} is the magnitude of charge of the second charge
  • 2{2} is the distance between the charges
