Lever Arms
A lever arm is the perpendicular distance between the line of action of a force and the axis of rotation. It’s a key concept in rotational mechanics and torque calculations. At the AP Physics 1 level, it can be seen as the extended line of a force vector to where it makes a perpendicular angle with the rigid body.
