Moving Charges
A single moving charged object can create a magnetic field, whose magnitude will depend on the velocity of the object as well as the distance away from the object. The magnitude of the magnetic field is maximized when the velocity and the position vectors are perpendicular to each other. The magnetic field is essentially a ring that is clockwise around the direction that a positive charge is moving in. This will be counterclockwise if the charge is negative.
