Magnetic Force

Magnetic forces are interactions between 2 moving charged objects. Additionally, if a single moving charge is in a magnetic field, the field can also exert a force on the moving charge. Magnetic force is designated by the variable FB{F_B}.

FB=qvBsin(θ)F_B=qvBsin(\theta)
  • FB{F_B} is the magnetic force exerted on the charge
  • q{q} is the charge
  • v{v} is the velocity of the charge
  • B{B} is the magnetic field in which charge is moving through
  • θ{\theta} is the angle between the velocity of the charge and the direction of the magnetic field that the charge is moving through
