The Role of Photosynthesis in Capturing and Storing Energy

Photosynthesis is the biological process by which organisms capture light energy from the sun and convert it into chemical energy stored in sugars. This process is fundamental for life on Earth, as it forms the basis of the food web and drives the cycling of matter and energy through ecosystems. Photosynthesis enables organisms to store energy in a form that can be used for a variety of biological processes, such as growth, reproduction, and cellular repair.
