Reversible Processes

Previously in AP Chemistry, we have only dealt with reactions that proceed in one direction, from reactants to products. However, a good amount of reactions are actually reversible, meaning they can also go in the direction of products to reactants. Water can evaporate into steam, but steam can also condense back into water. Some important examples could be the transfer of protons in acid-base reactions and the transfer of electrons in redox reactions. Reversible reactions can be shown with a double sided arrow: ↔{\leftrightarrow}.
